The Floods Crisis: Over 100,000 Displaced, 83 Lives Lost - Government Intensifies Rescue Efforts.

In an update on the devastating floods sweeping across Kenya, the government spokesperson, Dr. Isaac Mwaura, revealed alarming statistics that paint a grim picture of the situation. 

The nation is grappling with a humanitarian crisis of significant proportions with more than 100,000 Kenyans displaced and 83 reported deaths.

According to Dr. Mwaura, the floods have destroyed 24,196 homes, forcing a staggering 131,450 individuals to flee their residences. The scale of displacement and destruction is immense, leaving hundreds of families struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.

In response to the escalating crisis, the Kenyan government has mobilized a multiagency team to ramp up search and rescue operations. The State's increased efforts aim to provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the floods and mitigate further loss of life.
