Silas Jakakimba Urges Kenyans to Embrace Affordable Housing Project.

Silas Jakakimba, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Suba North Parliamentary hopeful, has called on Kenyans from across the political divide to embrace and support the Affordable Housing Project.  The affordable housing project, which is one of President William Ruto's Bottom Up Economic Transformation flagship projects, is a key agenda for the good of all Kenyans. These guidelines aim to streamline the service, ensuring predictability and efficiency, while emphasizing accountability, transparency, and security. Interior PS Raymond Omollo, together with Immigration and Citizen Services PS Julius Bitok, has today unveiled the new guidelines for issuance of National ID cards in border and cosmopolitan counties.  The new guidelines are a result of the government's efforts to leverage technology, security agencies like NIS and DCI, and collaborate with stakeholders to conduct thorough background checks.   Leaders from across Africa have called for increased concessional funding from the International Development Association (IDA), a branch of the World Bank, during the recently concluded IDA21 Replenishment Summit in Nairobi. Government Identifies Water Harvesting Locations in Light of Heavy Rains.

The state department of irrigation has identified 464 locations that have the potential for constructing water harvesting and storage structures for further development.  This is due to the continuous rainfall and flooding, which has resulted in the need to store excess water. These structures can harvest a massive 37,226,762 cubic meters of water, and according to Irrigation PS Ephantus Kimotho, this capacity is capable of irrigating over 42,709 acres of land and can also provide sufficient water for domestic and livestock purposes. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring water security in the country, especially during times of heavy rainfall, which often leads to floods and water wastage.
